When We Are Closed

clock_on_red_backgroundAll out of hours calls are now taken by NHS 24. This helpline is staffed by experienced nurses and is also available for medical advice during office hours. Any out of hours calls that cannot be dealt with on the telephone by NHS 24 are forwarded to the doctors on duty for G-MED, the local doctors’ on-call cooperative.

All the local practices are members of G-MED. While the surgery is closed we would urge you only to contact NHS 24 for genuine urgent problems. The number can be obtained, when needed, on the surgery answer machine.

Wednesday Afternoons

The surgery closes for half day on Wednesday. Urgent problems are dealt with by another local practice. The telephone number can be obtained, when needed, on the surgery answer machine.

NHS 24

In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call NHS 24 by dialing 111 to speak to a triage nurse. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.

Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

Monday 1st & Tuesday 2nd January

Monday 2nd April
