Test Results

test_vials2Often test results can be given over the phone by the receptionist. Sometimes the doctor will need to discuss a result with you in person (or you yourself may require to speak to him). Generally the best time to speak to the doctor is between 10.30am – 11.00am. But, please remember that emergencies do come up. If the doctor is not available when you ring, please be patient

Note that the practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection and we will only release test results to the person to whom they relate unless that person has given prior permission for the release of this data or they are not capable of understanding the results.

When you take your test you will be told how long it will be before the results are returned to the practice.

It is your responsibility to check your results and to make an appointment to discuss them with your doctor if your are advised to do so.

When phoning for results please call after 2pm, this frees up the phone line for more Urgent calls and also gives the Gp's time to look at results after morning surgery has finished.
